The Security Days were created as a space for thoughtful, open and interdisciplinary dialogue. A forum where different perspectives are not only welcomed, but essential. Where students, experts and members of the public come together to engage with the complexities of a rapidly changing security environment
Over the course of the event series, leading voices from academia, policy and practice will gather in St. Gallen - not to provide simple answers, but to reflect on how security policy must evolve in light of today's ongoing transformations.
Because engaging with the future of security policy should be a shared responsibility. And because understanding change is the first step towards shaping it
Security Days 2026: Shifting Paradigms in Security Policy
Under the theme "Shifting Paradigms in Security Policy" the Security Days 2026 take place from 20 - 22. April 2026 in St. Gallen marking the 40th anniversary of the Security Policy Forum

We are living in a time of accelerating change. Geopolitical dynamics are in flux, new technologies reshape both threats and responses and long-standing assumptions about stability and order are increasingly being questioned. In such a context, understanding security requires more than analysis - it demands a willingness to rethink established paradigms.

Together we will ask: Which paradigms continue to shape our understanding of security? Where are they being challenged? And what new approaches are needed to navigate an increasingly uncertain future.

All events are free and open to the public.
