The Security Policy Forum St.Gallen (SPF) invites you in collaboration with HSG Alumni to an engaging public panel discussion with Kasey Maggard, Carl Magnus Nesser, Stefan Brupbacher and Moderator Prof. Bruno Caprettini as part of the 2026 Security Days.
At the heart of this event lies the question of whether Europe, in light of growing geopolitical tensions and increasing deglobalisation, should bring back or deliberately strengthen key strategic industries. The discussion will address critical dependencies in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, defence, critical raw materials, and digital technologies.
Bringing together perspectives from policy, industry, and academia, the panel will explore the implications for economic resilience, security policy capacity, and technological sovereignty. It will further examine what role state-led industrial policy should play in shaping Europe’s future strategic positioning.
Join us for a timely and thought-provoking discussion on Europe’s economic security and strategic autonomy.
Registration is required.
